Medivir develops protease inhibitors into innovative pharmaceuticals against widespread diseases thereby improving quality of life for a number of patient groups. Medivir’s objective is to become a profitable research-based pharmaceutical company with proprietary sales resources for specialist products on the Nordic market.
- Medivir has several collaborations with established pharmaceutical companies as well as smaller biotech enterprises.
- Apart from Lipsovir® (labial herpes), Medivir has four projects in phase II and two in phase I. Medivir expects to file an NDA (new drug application) for Lipsovir® in Europe and the US in autumn 2008.
- At the end of 2007, the group had 97 employees.
- Medivir’s net sales in 2007 were SEK 249.6 m.
- Medivir has been listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange since 1996.
